Over the last five years, Nautel has doubled its revenues and gone from 130 people to over 185 people. The company’s headquarters are in beautiful Hackett’s Cove in Nova Scotia with offices in Maine and Illinois in the US. Nautel also has parts depots in Tennessee, US; Sharjah, United Arab Emigrates; and London, England. The company has tripled its sales and marketing over the last few years and now has direct sales presences in all areas of the world servicing the broadcast and navigation markets. Nautel Limited recently won the 2009 Exporter of the Year in Nova Scotia.
A key challenge for Nautel is diversifying its revenue stream into the future. There are many opportunities for Nautel to pursue given its strength in capabilities in RF design; high-powered solid state design; software development, including signal processing and interface design; and a vertically integrated fabrication facility.
The Management Advisory Team (MAT), along with the CEO and Board, is fully committed to diversifying Nautel for the future. The desire is to focus on new markets with existing and new products.
Role Description: Technical Market Analyst
The role for the Technical Market Analyst is to assist the MAT in developing and managing the plans for diversification. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will have a strong technical background, and you will be:
- Assessing new markets;
- Enhancing the diversification business plan;
- Assisting in applications for and reporting on governmental programs in various jurisdictions;
- Defining new products based on Nautel’s capabilities for new markets; and
- Taking an active role in defining new and enhanced job descriptions for the diversified organization.
