Corporate Residency Selection Process

All of the Corporate Residency MBA candidates are required to perfect their profile and résumé within the first two weeks of the program. This information will be sent to Employer Partners in a Portfolio of Candidates. The book is available for Employer Partners to view at the end of July and interviews begin in September.

The corporate residency job competitions are coordinated in two phases. The first takes place in September when a large number of employers attend the on-campus interview day. After these interviews, and any necessary second-round interviews, students and employers rank the job opportunities and candidates, respectively. The rankings are analyzed and student job matches are made by early October.

The second phase continues throughout the semester until December. Students still seeking a corporate residency will have the opportunity to compete for positions with employers who did not participate in the first phase. Unlike Phase One, employers in Phase Two will be able to select candidates, conduct interviews and make job offers at any time.

Students offered a position with an Employer Partner are expected to accept, unless extenuating circumstances apply. We strongly advise thoroughly researching the organization and taking location, corporate culture, career goals, etc. into consideration before interviewing with an Employer Partner.

Students also have the option of creating a self-developed corporate residency and an entrepreneurial experience and have access to the team in Management Career Services for assistance.
